Snelling Staffing Services is looking for a Business Development Manager who is hungry for new business and motivated by winning. This isn't an account-management job where you sit back and wait for business to come to you. We want a hunter. You'll have existing accounts to develop, but your biggest opportunity is new business — identifying companies with hiring needs, getting to the decision-maker, uncovering their challenges and showing them why Snelling should be their staffing partner.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prospect for new business through cold calls, email, social media and in-person visits
• Research companies and get to the decision-maker
• Set appointments and conduct sales meetings
• Uncover staffing needs and present solutions
• Build quotes and proposals
• Ask for the business and close the deal
• Follow up relentlessly and turn prospects into clients
• Grow existing accounts and develop new territory
• Represent Snelling at networking events and industry functions

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don't have to come from staffing. You do need to be comfortable selling. We're looking for someone who is:

• Driven by goals, competition and results
• Comfortable making cold calls and opening doors
• Confident talking to business owners, executives and hiring managers
• Persistent without being pushy
• A strong communicator and active listener
• Organized enough to manage multiple opportunities
• Motivated by base salary + commission + bonus At least 1 year of recent sales, business development, marketing or related experience required.
