Job Description
This is more than an opportunity to lead sales and marketing. It is an opportunity to help create a destination. Margaritaville Resort Orange Beach The Wharf is bringing the unmistakable Margaritaville state of mind to one of Alabama's most dynamic coastal destinations. Blending a laid-back island lifestyle with the dining, shopping, entertainment, and energy of The Wharf, this expansive new mixed-use resort will bring together hotel-style accommodations, resort cottages, luxury waterfront residences, signature food and beverage experiences, recreation, entertainment, and more. As our Director of Sales & Marketing , you will join the leadership team during one of the most exciting stages in a resort's life: before the doors open. Rather than inheriting an established commercial operation, you will help build one. You will shape how this resort enters the market, establish its sales and marketing infrastructure, develop key relationships, build demand, recruit and lead the sales and marketing team, and create the strategies that turn a highly anticipated opening into a thriving Gulf Coast destination. From positioning and pre-opening campaigns to group business, strategic partnerships, digital marketing, revenue strategy, grand-opening programming, and community engagement, your work will help establish the resort's identity from day one. Margaritaville is built around the idea of escaping the everyday, creating memorable experiences, and bringing a relaxed, welcoming sense of fun to hospitality. Here in Orange Beach, you will have the opportunity to translate that globally recognized lifestyle into a distinctly local destination and introduce it to guests, meeting planners, partners, and the greater Alabama Gulf Coast community. If you have ever wanted to look back at a successful resort and know that you helped build its commercial foundation from the very beginning, this is that opportunity.
