Job Description

The Area Manager (AM) actively works to grow the business across multiple service center locations with a focus on delivering consistent, predictable results in each store. This role operates as a multi-unit retail leader responsible for driving operational consistency, financial performance, and team development across an assigned VIOC market area. The AM reports to the Regional Manager.

The AM maximizes profitability of their assigned VIOC market area by developing a team to deliver a preferred customer experience, identifying leaders capable of managing all aspects of an automotive service business, and creating a fun, performance-driven culture by instilling VIOC's vision and values. Build and Develop High-Performing Multi-Unit Teams Identify talent and teach Service Center Managers to build, manage, and motivate successful teams while reducing turnover. Lead succession planning and employee development to ensure all locations maintain strong bench strength. Coach managers on performance management, including coaching, corrective action, and performance improvement plans. Ensure consistency in leadership capability across all locations by actively developing and holding managers accountable. Deliver a Consistent Retail Customer Experience Train employees to execute VIOC's operating systems and reinforce the importance of their role in the customer experience. Drive customer loyalty by coaching teams to deliver a professional, trust-based service experience. Support managers in resolving customer concerns and claims effectively. Ensure consistency in customer experience across all locations by addressing performance gaps between stores. Drive Financial Performance Across Multiple Locations Teach Service Center Managers to manage revenue, expenses, and profitability at the store level. Utilize financial statements (P&L, etc.) to identify opportunities for improvement. Monitor performance across all locations and identify trends to improve overall market results. Support execution of sales initiatives, product mix strategies, and local business opportunities. Ensure Compliance and Operational Standards Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies. Train and hold managers accountable for HR, safety, and operational procedures. Maintain consistency in compliance practices across all locations through regular follow-up. Lead Multi-Unit Operations Oversee multiple service center locations to ensure alignment in execution and performance. Conduct regular store visits to coach leaders and reinforce expectations. Act as the communication link between field operations and leadership. Drive accountability across the market through clear expectations and follow-up. Qualifications Associate's degree preferred; High School Diploma required. 5+ years managing multiple locations in a retail or service environment. Proven track record of business growth in a multi-unit environment. Strong financial acumen including P&L management. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
