Director of Business Development Arrivia, Inc. - 3.7 Scottsdale, AZ Job Details 10 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Unlimited paid time off Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Business development management Sales revenue Forecasting Sales analytics & reporting tools Performance Reporting Trade show promotions Managing event budgets Presentation preparation Sales pipeline management CRM system proficiency Full Job Description arrivia is looking for a Director of Business Development to be the operational engine behind our partnership growth. You will own the systems, the conference program, and the executive materials that make our business development team effective, and you will work alongside senior Business Development leaders to move real deals forward. This role suits someone who runs a disciplined operation and wants their work measured by what the business achieves. You will own HubSpot, keep the pipeline and forecast accurate enough for board-level reporting, run our industry conferences end to end, and build the proposals and research that advance partner conversations. A portion of your compensation is tied to team growth performance, so this is a role for someone who wants to be accountable to outcomes, not just activity. You will be in front of partners and at conferences, and you will contribute to pipeline, but the core of the job is building and running the engine that the whole Business Development function depends on. This position is based in our Scottsdale office, with regular travel to industry conferences roughly one to two times per month.
What You'll Own HubSpot and Pipeline Discipline:
Own the CRM for business development, including deal tracking, stage hygiene, workflows, and pipeline accuracy the team can trust.
Forecasting and Executive Reporting:
Maintain real-time visibility into pipeline and revenue forecasting, and build the reporting leadership and the board rely on.
Conference Strategy:
Own the conference calendar, from selecting events and planning ROI through budget management and cost control.
Event Execution:
Manage conference logistics hands-on, including booth setup, shipping, inventory, on-site delivery, lead capture, and post-event reporting.
Executive Materials:
Build proposals, pitch decks, RFP responses, and partnership documentation that advance deals.
Partner and Account Research:
Conduct deep research on target accounts and prospective partners to support deal strategy.
Deal Support and Development:
Work alongside senior BD leaders to advance opportunities, and proactively develop new conversations from a targeted account list.
Partner-Facing Representation:
Represent arrivia professionally with prospective partners and at industry events, including senior executive settings. What You'll Bring 6+ years in business development, sales operations, or partnerships. Advanced, hands-on HubSpot experience: pipeline management, workflows, forecasting, and executive-level reporting. This is the core of the role. Comparable CRM experience considered. Demonstrated hands-on ownership of trade show and conference logistics, including budgets, shipping, and on-site execution. A growth-accountable mindset. You are comfortable being measured on business outcomes and having part of your compensation tied to performance. Executive presence and polish. You will represent arrivia in front of senior partner executives and need to be credible and professional in the room. Strong writing and presentation skills, with the ability to turn research and data into persuasive materials. The maturity to operate independently in a fast-paced environment without daily direction. Travel, loyalty, or membership industry background preferred. Adjacent financial services, fintech, or consumer loyalty experience also valued. Based in the Phoenix or Scottsdale area, or genuinely willing to relocate. Ability to travel to industry conferences roughly one to two times per month.
Benefits & Perks Unlimited PTO:
We offer unlimited PTO because we want you to experience the world. We believe in high performance and trust our team to take the time they need to recharge and see the travel industry firsthand.
Exclusive Travel Rates:
Access deep discounts and exclusive travel perks through the very platforms we build for our partners.
Health and Future:
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) plan with company participation. About arrivia arrivia is the largest stand-alone travel loyalty provider in the world, powering programs for leading US and global brands.
