About the Role We are looking for a hands-on 'door opener' to accelerate our business growth in industrial metal additive manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with prospective customers, and creating new business opportunities that contribute directly to our growth strategy. You are naturally curious, enjoy networking and thrive on opening doors with potential clients. As a trusted advisor, you will understand and uncover potential customer needs. Together with the potential customer and internal teams at Additive Industries you develop strategies to open the doors, start initial conversations, uncover demand at the potential customer that fits our solutions offering. Once the potential opportunity is properly qualified, a hand-over takes place to the designated commercial team member to work out a business case alongside tailored offerings. Key Responsibilities Pipeline Creation Identify and target high-potential companies and applications within defined segments Proactively generate opportunities via outbound, referrals, events, network and campaigns Schedule and conduct introductory meetings, presentations, and discovery sessions. Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and customer needs. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking activities. Qualification & Development Understand manufacturing challenges and identify viable LPBF use cases Engage with decision-makers and technical stakeholders Develop early value propositions trough collaboration with internal teams (Application Development, Process Development) Handover & Collaboration Qualify opportunities against clear criteria Transfer qualified opportunities to Sales with a structured briefing Ensure smooth transition and alignment on next steps Requirements Proven experience with Metal Laser powder Bed Fusion technology in Space, Defense, High Tech or Aviation. Both from an application and commercial angle. A strong network of users metal LPBF ecosystem (e.g. Space, Defense, High Tech is a 'pre' or Aviation). Ability to identify suitable applications and assess feasibility for LPBF Broad knowledge of conventional manufacturing technologies (especially metal processing) Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders in industrial environments for our industrial and modular 3D metal printers as well as our solution drive approach to make the customer application(s) work. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Structured , analytical and solution-oriented. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Willingness to travel, up to 50% of your time. Technical Bachelor's degree (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering).
