Job Overview The Director of Prospect Development is a key leadership role responsible for architecting, implementing, and directing a comprehensive, strategic prospect development ecosystem that encompasses advanced research, predictive portfolio management, and executive-level business intelligence. This role requires a visionary leader capable of driving significant philanthropic impact through the synthesis of data-driven insights, executive-level decision-making, and serving as a strategic partner to the Foundation's leadership, driving the evolution of a best-in-class prospect development team to optimize donor identification and portfolio distribution. The Director will lead the prospect development team to implement strategies that identify new prospective donors, analyze donor information and prospects to optimize assignments, develop metrics, goals, projections, identify prospects' capacity, and propensity to make a meaningful impact through philanthropy. Serving as a key strategic advisor to the executive leadership team, the Director will architect, scale, and direct an integrated prospect development department. This department will drive principal gift revenue through sophisticated capacity modeling, systematic due diligence, and portfolio optimization. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree required in business, data analytics, computer science, or related field required (Master's preferred); or an equivalent combination of advanced education, certification, or specialized expertise within a complex nonprofit. Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in fundraising and/or advancement services. Minimum of 5 years of experience directly supervising professional teams and managing enterprise-level strategic initiatives. Mastery of APRA Body of Knowledge standards at Level II, with demonstrated experience directing prospect management within California's regulatory framework (CMIA) or an FQHC safety-net environment. Professional APRA or AHP certification is highly desirable. Minimum 2 years of direct experience with prospect research platforms (iWave, LexisNexis, WealthEngine, Wealth Screening tools) and CRM systems (Raiser's Edge NXT, Salesforce, or comparable platforms) preferred. Demonstrate experience with data analysis, statistical methodology, and business intelligence tools. Compensation $171,258.88 - $214,073.60 annually Compensation Disclaimer Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change.
