The Director of Sales needs to have an analytical mindset and be able seek out new business and maintain current business. As required by all team members, the Director of Sales is required to provide the highest quality of service at all times.
Job Duties:
1. Director of Sales can be evaluated at regular intervals on their ability to bring in business for the hotels. 2. Director of Sales must be able to identify and court the guests with selling the benefits and amenities of the hotels. 3. Must be able to follow up with guests to help close all contracts. 4. Must be knowledgeable of the hotels and local community. 5. Must be active in the community with CVB and other networking opportunities. 6. Director of Sales must be able to maintain all accounts brought into the hotels. 7. Must be able to generate leads. 8. Must be able to meet or exceed sales goals. 9. Motivate and energize the staff to make proactive decisions in all their communication with guests. 10. Access the competitive landscape and institute changes to the sales program in response to competitors' changes. 11. Must be able to work hand in hand with hotel management team to ensure that open communication goes accordingly for guests. 12. Director of Sales must be able to pursue revenue goals and utilize yield management and revenue tools. 13. Must be able to analyze data in STR reports, brand reports, etc. and be able to make sound judgments and take notice to trends in these reports. 14. Motivate, train and coach team members on how to assist in sales leads. 15. Work analytically on RFP's and LNR's to ensure consistent guest business. 16. Work closely with team members on preparing and implementing marketing plans, calls to key accounts and potential clients, and capitalize on all revenue opportunities. 17. Perform all other duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager. 18.
