OSI Optoelectronics is seeking a Technical Sales Manager - Aerospace and Defe nse. This individual will be responsible for driving technical customer engagement, supporting complex opportunity development, growing bookings and revenue, and capturing design wins across North American Aerospace and Defense accounts. They will also support existing customer relationships while identifying new growth opportunities across optical sensors, photodiodes, laser diodes, value-added assemblies, and related optoelectronic product families. They will work closely with the global business development team, engineering, operations, product management, and finance to develop technical and commercial solutions that meet customer requirements. Responsibilities Identifies customer requirements, qualifies opportunities, supports design-in activity, develops technical and commercial solutions, and partners with internal teams to capture new business. Translates complex technical capabilities into clear customer value propositions. Engages engineers, program managers, procurement teams, technical buyers, and senior customer stakeholders with a strong consultative sales approach to support long-cycle Aerospace and Defense programs. Manages sales funnels, CRM updates, bookings forecasts, proposal inputs, customer account plans, and revenue growth initiatives for assigned customers, regions, or product lines. Manages customer expectations and coordinating effectively with internal factory, engineering, and operations teams. Support customer meetings, trade shows, account reviews, and program development activities. Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork. Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, optics, business, or a related technical field is required; an advanced technical or business degree is desired. Minimum of five (5+) years of proven experience in technical sales, business development, or applications-focused customer engagement within the Aerospace and Defense industry, including work with prime contractors, government-related programs, or defense supply chains. Must have strong technical background in optoelectronics, photonics, optical sensors, photodiodes, laser diodes, value-added assemblies, or related manufacturing technologies Familiarity with quality, compliance, documentation, and manufacturing requirements common in Aerospace and Defense environments, such as AS9100, ITAR, export control, traceability, configuration control, or customer flow-down requirements is needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Experience using CRM systems to manage opportunities, forecasts, account plans, customer activity, and pipeline reporting required. Must have strong understanding of technical component sales, engineered solutions, custom manufacturing, product qualification, production ramp-up, and customer program lifecycle requirements. Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential. Must be a proactive team player. Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time domestically.

Life at OSI Pay may range from $120,000 to $130,000 annually The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP). OSI also offers comprehensive benefits including various options for health plans, access to 401(k) retirement plan, health savings account, disability insurance, life insurance, AD&D insurance, leave of absence programs and an array of voluntary benefits. In addition, paid time off is offered to be used for vacation, holidays, bereavement, and jury duty. Full-Time salaried employees are entitled to flexible time-off.
