This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Hotel Sales Manager to become part of our dynamic team at The Lodge at Marconi, situated in Marshall, CA. Our property prides itself on recent renovations and a fresh outlook. Boasting a total of 8 indoor and outdoor event spaces, our hotel is the ideal location for various occasions including weddings, conferences, and retreats. Tucked away in the hills overlooking Tomales Bay, our 46-room hotel provides a distinctive and charming backdrop. Join us and take on a crucial role in showcasing our outstanding hotel and event venue to prospective guests. About the Role We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Social Sales Manager to join our team and drive business growth for our newly reimagined, 45-room hotel and event destination nestled in the scenic hills above Tomales Bay. This historic lodge, thoughtfully restored in 2022, blends timeless charm with modern resort amenities and offers 8 versatile indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings, conferences, and retreats. In this pivotal role, the Social Sales Manager will focus on cultivating new business, nurturing existing client relationships, exceeding sales targets, and execute seamless guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Proactively solicit new accounts, target high-potential markets, and secure group and event bookings. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and room night goals. Manage and grow existing client accounts, ensuring strong, lasting relationships. Conduct site inspections and deliver compelling proposals to potential clients. Respond to complex, high-value inquiries with precision and professionalism. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and refine sales strategies. Collaborate cross-functionally with events, operations, and revenue management teams. Maintain accurate documentation, client communications, and reporting using CRM and sales systems. Support event planning and logistics to ensure a smooth guest experience from booking to execution. Manage pre-event coordination, onsite support, and post-event follow-up. Ensure all event details align with guest expectations, brand standards, and operational capabilities. Attend industry events, participate in sales and property specific meetings, and represent the hotel with excellence. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Skilled in negotiating, presenting, and closing deals effectively. Proficient in general computer and sales systems (CRM, reservation, and revenue tools). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts and deliver exceptional customer service. Professional demeanor with a competitive drive and collaborative mindset. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
