The City of Rio Vista seeks a collaborative, strategic, and forward-thinking economic development professional with a passion for building partnerships and creating opportunities for sustainable community growth. The ideal candidate is an innovative problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses the political acumen, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills necessary to successfully work with elected officials, developers, business owners, community organizations, regional agencies, and residents. Qualified candidates will possess the equivalent of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration, economics, planning, marketing, or a closely related field. A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in economic development, redevelopment, real estate, marketing, or a closely related field is required. Experience working in or with local government and knowledge of California economic development practices, public-private partnerships, and municipal development processes are highly desirable. The monthly salary range for the Economic Development Manager is $11,842 - $14,394; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
