Business Development and DTC Sales Manager Saint Helena, CA Apply Job Description:
The Business Development and Sales Manager for Fine Wine organization will collaborate closely with the internal brand team to elevate brand presence through direct guest engagement, cultivating a robust network of referral partners. This role is responsible for fostering enduring, mutually beneficial relationships with referral partners, wine club members, and prospective members. The Business Development Manager will embody and promote organizational values, serving as a positive role model for the Tasting Room team and ensuring an exceptional guest experience throughout the customer life cycle, including proactive, polished, and timely communication via email, phone, and text as appropriate.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a concierge program and customer service standards to deliver world-class guest experiences.
- Build and expand a network of referral partners, driving incremental, reservation-only visitation to the estate.
- Manage and leverage the customer database to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Convert estate guests into wine club members and nurture ongoing relationships with club members.
- Implement, uphold and model best-in-class hospitality and service standards for the Tasting Room team.
- Provide ongoing support and communication to guests and members, ensuring satisfaction long after the estate visit.
- Partner with Leader of Fine Wine to ensure cross functional brand cohesion and messaging.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, driven by solution oriented positive approach.
- Demonstrated passion for hospitality, sales, and customer service.
- Strong network within the Napa Valley wine community.
- Creativity, drive, energy, and a love for creating memorable guest experiences.
- Advanced wine knowledge and a commitment to ongoing wine education.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work on-site in St. Helena winery
- Ability to travel for work occasionally both locally and domestically
- Ability to work Tuesday-Saturday with some potential schedule fluctuations with work demands Key Accomplishments and Accountability in role:
- Refine and establish the concierge program and customer service standards.
- Assist with database management and communications to identify new sales and engagement opportunities.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences and convert visitors into wine club members.
- Add 5-10 new referral partners to the network to increase reservation-only visits.
- Through creative initiatives, support the wine club team in reversing attrition, recapturing legacy members, and promoting new member retention.
- Participate in FY27 planning and drive initiatives for continued growth.
- Explore opportunities and reach creative solutions to build a best-in-class collector experience in Napa Valley and beyond.
