Job Overview:
We are a reputable and well-established automotive dealership dedicated to providing exceptional service and quality vehicles to our valued customers. We are seeking an experienced Automotive Leader to take our business to the next level. Our ideal candidate should have expertise in retail operations, along with a commitment to customer satisfaction and a commitment to teamwork! As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Team Leadership:
Motivates, hires, and trains all Sales Consultants to meet/exceed sales goals. Maintains guest retention and profitability by planning, organizing, and leading all sales department related activities.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction in all vehicle sales and customer interactions.
Sales and Operation:
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed projected unit sales, gross profits, and operating profits for the sales department.
Financial Management:
Work with the General Manager/Regional Director to forecast goals and objectives for sales gross and other key expenses on a monthly/quarterly and annual basis.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels, aging, and turnover. Work closely with the sales team to optimize vehicle selection and pricing.
Compliance and Operations:
Ensure the dealership operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Individuals should possess:
A high school diploma or equivalent A minimum of two (2) years automotive management required. Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents; interview, hire and develop employees; create and perform corrective actions and performance appraisals; oversee the work of subordinates; use good judgment in challenging situations Superior communication and customer service skills, effective via email and telephone Excellent follow-through skills Experience successfully leading, training, and/or managing a sales team Attention to detail for accuracy Knowledge of basic mathematical concepts, automotive financing, equity values and vehicle depreciation, and laws that govern retail automotive sales Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to work in a team driven atmosphere Must have a valid California Driver's License with an acceptable and safe driving record Physical Demands The physical and environmental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Individual will be required to:
Use hands and fingers in repetitive motions, daily. Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments. Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds. Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
