Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Junior Sales Manager to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong automotive sales background along with prior sales management experience, including desking deals and preparing purchase proposals for customers. This position is responsible for driving sales performance by managing the dealership's CRM process, coaching sales consultants on lead follow-up, generating appointments, and assisting the Sales Manager with daily desking responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead by example by actively working CRM opportunities, helping convert leads into appointments and sales while supporting the sales team throughout the sales process. Key Responsibilities Manage the dealership CRM to ensure all internet, phone, and showroom leads receive timely and consistent follow-up. Monitor and hold sales consultants accountable for CRM activity, including lead response times, follow-up schedules, appointment setting, and customer communication. Personally work CRM leads to generate appointments, engage customers, and close vehicle sales. Coach and mentor the sales team on effective lead management, appointment setting, and CRM best practices. Assist the General Sales Manager with desking deals, preparing purchase proposals, payment options, trade evaluations, and basic deal structures for customers. Present accurate pricing, financing scenarios, and payment options while ensuring all dealership guidelines are followed. Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to vehicle delivery. Help maximize dealership profitability while maintaining a transparent and customer-focused sales experience. Support daily sales operations, TOs (turnovers), customer negotiations, and closing deals when needed. Assist in achieving monthly sales volume, gross profit, appointment, and customer satisfaction goals. Participate in daily sales meetings, training, and coaching sessions. Maintain compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and all applicable regulations. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of automotive sales experience. Minimum 1-2 years of automotive sales management or desking experience. Demonstrated experience preparing deal structures, payment options, and purchase proposals for customers. Strong understanding of dealership sales processes, financing, trade appraisals, and CRM management. Proven ability to convert leads into appointments and sales. Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
