Central Valley, CA A division of the United Auctions Group, The Auction Company brings over 30 years of auction expertise, specializing in the sale of construction equipment, rental equipment, trucks, trailers, and automobiles. Backed by decades of industry experience, we deliver trusted auction solutions and exceptional service for buyers and sellers alike.
Key Activities:
Working to targets, you will grow your territory through your superior new business development skills and maximise consignments using your already established network of contacts in the industry. Work with a broad range of auction consignors who have remarketing needs for their surplus commercial vehicles, heavy-light duty trucks and miscellaneous items. Work with companies in various related industries, including construction, oilfield, equipment sales and rental, mining, transportation, utilities, government, etc. Have a comprehensive knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry as it pertains to the commercial retail, construction, and transportation sectors. Attending and staffing tradeshows/ attending key association meetings.
The Person:
To be successful in this role you must be all of the following: A machinery enthusiast with an entrepreneurial nature who can maximise sales from new and existing customers. An excellent negotiator with the ability to spot opportunities and the good sense to act on them. Experienced in hunting new business opportunities using current and innovative techniques. Competent with the ability to create a demand for consigned equipment. A self-starter who can work independently. An excellent communicator with a great ability to build rapport and attract Buyers and Sellers to our auctions.
The Requirements Essential Criteria:
To be successful in this role you must have: A valid, clean driver's license. A proven sales record with minimum 4yrs experience selling Construction/Heavy Equipment.
ie:
Excavators, Backhoe Loaders, Skid Steers, Loaders, Gators/ASV, Telehandlers, Compressors, Generators, Cranes, Commercial Trucks etc. An already established network of contacts within the industry. As TM you should know everyone and everything there is to know about equipment in your region. An excellent knowledge of the current national and global market; you should have your finger on the pulse of what's happening in your territory and further afield. An already grown knowledge of the Auction industry, buying, selling, and bid-catching at Auctions. An excellent knowledge of the current national and global market; you should have your finger on the pulse of what's happening in your territory and further afield.
