Job Description

Leads aerospace business capture and proposal campaigns for spacecraft and component product lines. Evaluates RFI/RFP requirements, develops response strategies, coordinates cross-functional proposal teams, manages customer inquiries and CRM records, supports contract transitions, and builds relationships with key decision-makers. Position Purpose:
The Business Development Manager II role primarily supports the BCT Spacecraft product line by driving capture planning and management of capture campaigns. The focus of this position will be to support and streamline competitive proposal process and campaigns, support competitive commercial capture campaigns, engagement with customers leading to the successful preparation of support artifacts of proposal responses

$105,000 - $160,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Hybrid position at our Boulder, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).

Job Responsibilities:
Primary focus will be responsibility for establishing and leading capture and proposal campaigns in collaboration with Business Development Team. Review and evaluate RFI/RFP response requirements and assess strategy for responding to customer requests. Successfully lead cross-functional proposal team to deliver on-time, competitive proposals. Respond in a timely manner to customer inquiries and RFIs/RFPs with support from the product and engineering teams. Team member in this role will support both spacecraft and components product lines. Monitor customer inquiry inbox on a daily basis and help adjudicate how to respond to each potential customer and inquiry. BCT responds to a high volume of customer requests, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize effectively, and keen organization will be critical skills in this role. Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool for emerging and near-term contracts. Support transition of new contracts with the corresponding product and functional teams to ensure smooth hand-off. Promote information sharing across lines of business to effectively capture market share and help with product roadmaps. Establish and maintain positive relationships with key decision makers. Understand and follow business capture process, identify improvements and areas to streamline, coordinate with engineering and product areas to improve proposal bid process.

Required Qualifications/Education:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline. 4-5+ years of relevant experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Has fundamental understanding and shows a genuine motivation and curiosity for the aerospace/space industry at large. Proficient working on interdisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical and software engineers. Strong written and verbal communications skills and willingness to share and transfer knowledge. Able to work well in a face-paced, dynamic team setting. Experience working with and understanding off program management and technical concepts to develop cost, schedule, and technical concepts for proposals. Experience with commercial RFP/RFI response process, including short turn proposal responses. Experience working with subject matter experts to collect and create compelling proposal content and detailed responses. Ability to help prioritize prospective business in a fast-paced environment. Holds a variety of technical and professional skills. Strong problem solver and self-motivated. Continues to learn from more season team members. Expertise with MS office.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
