  • Key Responsibilities and Duties Define and execute a sales plan for business development in target markets, aligned to company strategy Set sales goals, manage the opportunity pipeline, and improve sales funnel management Meet or exceed company bookings budget and agreed sales metrics Identify, develop, and qualify new business opportunities and product line diversification Initiate and cultivate relationships with current, new, and historical customers Develop a tradeshow engagement plan with corresponding budget and represent the company at conferences and networking events Monitor customer needs, competitor activity, procurement trends, and market developments to inform decision-making Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Contracts, and Customer Service to align customer requirements with company capabilities Manage and develop direct reports, including annual performance evaluations, goal setting, and conflict resolution Build product line and company knowledge, and gain proficiency in sales and customer service processes Gain proficiency with the Visual ERP system, including Smart Views reporting Lead process improvement initiatives across sales and customer service Travel regularly as required by business needs Work safely and cooperatively across office and production floor environments Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Military and commercial sales experience, both domestic and global Strong technical background with ability to read engineering drawings and engage in technical discussions Working knowledge of the DoD bid and proposal (B&P) process Onsite in South Windsor, CT; standard schedule Monday-Thursday 7:30AM-5:00PM and every other Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM A bit about us:•Founded decades ago and based in South Windsor, Connecticut, we are a precision-focused manufacturing organization supporting highly regulated aerospace and industrial customers.
