The Software Sales professional will work closely with the Sales, Product Management, and Econolite Systems teams to support the sales and business development of software solutions opportunities. The successful candidate will report to and coordinate all activities with the Director, Software Sales. They will focus on broader solution sales, support, demonstrations, RFP/RFI review, analysis, and response. DUTIES Oversee and directly engage in software business development, including opportunity identification, pipeline development, and sales growth of Econolite s suite of software solutions. Manages and secures renewals of software maintenance and subscription contracts. Participate in sales campaigns. Market funding research and analysis. Review RFPs and RFIs requirements to articulate the Econolite value proposition and documentation to support bid generation activities. Provide feedback on product/solution needs based on market trends. Conduct webinars in support of software business development goals. Remain current in Econolite s suite of software solutions, including operations software (ATMS), cloud offerings, planning software, and simulation software. Represent Econolite at industry trade shows and conferences as required. Collaborate with Marketing, Systems, Product Management and Project Management teams for consistent branding and gain market intelligence. Other duties as assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent professional experience; specific experience in the traffic management industry is an extreme plus. 10+ years of proven subject matter expertise and solution sales or consulting experience in the ITS or mobility industries, including knowledge of market conditions and competitive positions. Prior experience selling SAAS or Cloud solutions desired. Ability to work as part of a cross-functional engagement capture team to achieve superior deal win rates. Preferred skills and knowledge:
IT architecture-network topology (wired and wireless), practitioners knowledge of the use of Advanced Traffic Management Systems (desired), or alternatively CRM/ERP or other enterprise software platforms. Very strong presentation and communication skills-both written and verbal; candidate must be very comfortable giving presentations and demonstrations. This position requires a self-starter with excellent integrity and work ethics to perform remotely with minimal supervision. Capable of generating solid working relationships with prospects and customers. Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment or independently. Experience using CRM systems for opportunity management. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
