Job Description
The Furniture Warehouse is a family-owned and operated furniture retailer serving Southwest Florida since 1988. With six showroom locations, we are proud to be recognized as a Top 100 Furniture Retailer in the United States . We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales Education & Training to lead the training, coaching, onboarding, and continued development of our sales organization. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on developing Sales Associates and Sales Managers, creating consistency across all locations, and strengthening overall sales performance. If you are an experienced Furniture Retail Professional with a passion for coaching, training, and developing high-performing sales teams, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Lead sales education, training, and coaching across all six showroom locations Develop and improve structured training programs for new and experienced Sales Associates Conduct classroom, showroom, individual, and group training Train on product knowledge, customer engagement, selling techniques, objection handling, financing, closing, and customer experience Observe Sales Associates on the showroom floor and provide hands-on coaching Work with Sales Managers to identify individual and team development opportunities Develop Sales Managers into stronger coaches and trainers Monitor sales KPIs, conversion rates, average sales, financing, and other performance metrics to identify training opportunities Conduct regular Sales Manager meetings and sales training sessions Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding Sales Associates and Sales Managers What You Bring 5+ years of required experience in Furniture Retail Sales leadership, sales training, education Strong background in furniture and/or bedding retail sales Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing sales teams Experience in a multi-location retail environment preferred Strong understanding of retail sales techniques, customer behavior, and in-store conversion Comfortable using Excel, reporting dashboards, and sales KPIs Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field preferred Why Join Us?
