Job DescriptionServe as an outside District Sales Manager to drive sales growth and retention. The role reports to the Director of Sales and is responsible for the profitable growth and market development of assigned territories while contributing to the growth of the region.
Demonstrate a complete understanding of key customers' business and the critical measures that drive each account. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of all products and systems offered by Retail Direct in the market to customers.
Identify and pursue customer leads and opportunities. Effectively probe to understand the customer's needs. Educate the customer, interpret project requirements, and develop project specifications. Generate professional project estimates and sales of pre-engineered metal buildings, pole barns, metal roof and wall systems. Follow up and close quotes.
Ensure the sale of products and services complies with proper pricing guidelines, policies, and procedures. Serve as the customer's point of contact and maintain positive relationships with customers.
Work effectively and collaboratively with internal departments to ensure customer experience is optimized and efficient.
Act as the liaison between the customer and company regarding potential problems and customer desires.
Analyze and report competitive market information.
Provide and ensure customer-focused activities, deliverables, and services.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred Building Materials experiences in the areas of pre-engineered metal buildings, pole barns, or metal roof and wall systems. Understanding of the construction process.
Strong understanding of Drafting, Estimating and Inside Sales functions.
Ability to comprehend and translate architectural plans and specifications.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills coupled with detail orientation and organizational skills. Ability to maintain positive relationships with team members and customers.
Ability to analyze market conditions and competition to optimize strategic responses to opportunities.
Must be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment is essential.
Expected travel is 50-70% in the assigned market (1-2 overnights)High School Diploma or GED required. Strong professionalism and work ethic.
Sufficient personal computer and business software application capabilities required.
A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of two (2) years of proven sales/marketing or sales management experience required.Preferred Building Materials experiences in the areas of pre-engineered metal buildings, pole barns, or metal roof and wall systems. Understanding of the construction process.
