Internet Sales Manager

  • 100,000 Salary + Up to $25,000 Annual Performance Bonus Full-Time | 100% In-Office Paxton Marketing is seeking an experienced Automotive Internet Sales Manager to lead a high-volume automotive BDC and internet sales operation supporting our dealership clients.
This is not an entry-level management position. We are looking for a proven automotive leader who understands how to take internet leads from initial response through contact, appointment, show, and ultimately a sold vehicle. Candidates must have experience working in a high-volume automotive dealership selling 200+ vehicles per month and must understand how to manage a BDC through measurable performance metrics.
Compensation Base Salary:
$80,000
  • 100,000 annually, based on experience and proven performance
Performance Bonus:
Up to $25,000 annually based on department performance and established
KPIs Total Compensation Potential:
Up to $125,000 annually What You Will Own The Internet Sales Manager will be directly responsible for the performance of the department, including: Lead response time Contact rate Appointment set rate Appointment show rate Lead-to-sold conversion rate Outbound and inbound call performance CRM follow-up and process compliance Lead aging and unsold follow-up Agent productivity Call quality and appointment-closing ability Daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reporting You must understand the numbers behind a successful automotive BDC and know how to diagnose problems quickly. If contact rate falls, you need to identify why. If set rate falls, you need to coach the team and correct it. If appointments are being set but customers aren't showing, you need to identify the breakdown. If leads aren't turning into sold vehicles, you need to be able to work backward through the funnel and fix the process. Required Experience 5+ years of automotive internet sales/BDC experience is required.
Candidates must also have:
Previous Internet Sales Manager, BDC Manager, Internet Director, or similar automotive leadership experience Experience in a dealership selling 200+ vehicles per month Proven experience managing high-volume internet leads Strong working knowledge of automotive CRMs such as VinSolutions, Elead/CDK Elead , or similar platforms Experience managing contact rate, appointment set rate, show rate, and sold/conversion rate Experience listening to and grading calls Strong understanding of automotive lead follow-up processes Experience coaching representatives on objection handling and appointment closing Ability to identify weaknesses through CRM reporting and call data Ability to hold representatives accountable to daily activity and performance expectations The Person We Want We are looking for someone who has actually run the numbers , not simply held the title. You need to be comfortable managing people, inspecting CRM activity, listening to calls, coaching representatives, taking over difficult customers when necessary, and holding the department accountable every day. This is not a position for someone who wants to sit behind a desk and review reports. We want a hands-on automotive Internet Sales Manager who knows how to drive appointments, shows, and sold vehicles. Interview Process Qualified candidates should be prepared to discuss actual performance from their previous dealership, including average monthly dealership sales volume, monthly internet lead volume, size of their BDC/internet sales team, CRM platforms used, contact rate, appointment set rate, appointment show rate, and lead-to-sold conversion rate. If you have successfully managed internet sales or BDC operations inside a 200+ unit automotive dealership and know how to build and hold a team accountable to measurable KPIs, we want to speak with you.
