Job Description

Sales Manager - HVAC & Plumbing Services Comfort Temp HVAC & Plumbing | Gainesville, FL Comfort is our business. Growth is your mission. Since 1985, Comfort Temp has kept Florida cool, warm, and running right — built on dependable service, quality work, and four values that run through everything we do: Do what you say. Do what it takes. Walk with purpose. Do the right thing. Now we're looking for a Sales Manager who can take a good sales team and make it unstoppable: recruiting top talent, sharpening their skills, and turning every appointment into an opportunity. Join us and you'll get real backing — medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, paid time off — and a real shot at building something.
Your Job:
You'll be the driving force behind our residential and commercial HVAC and plumbing sales — service agreements, replacements, upgrades, new installs, all of it. Recruit and coach a team of Comfort Advisors. Set the bar for revenue, margin, and conversion — then help your people clear it. Run sales meetings people actually want to attend. Get in front of commercial property owners, facility managers, and GCs and turn conversations into contracts. And work shoulder-to-shoulder with our EVP of HVAC & Mechanical to keep the whole operation firing. This is a builder's role. You'll be in the field, in the pipeline, and in the room when the big deals close. What You Bring to the Table Sales leadership experience — you've coached, developed, and held a team accountable to real numbers, not just activity Industry background in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, commercial facility services, or a closely related technical trade — you know the equipment, the language, and the customer Business development instincts — you know how to prospect, network, and turn a cold commercial lead into a signed account Financial fluency — comfortable managing revenue goals, gross margin, conversion rates, pipelines, forecasts, and individual rep accountability Technical-to-customer translation — you can take what the operations and estimating teams need and turn it into a solution the customer actually wants Coaching and presentation skills — training, negotiation, and team development aren't buzzwords to you, they're daily habits Communication that lands — clear, professional, and confident whether you're in a homeowner's kitchen or a GC's boardroom Relationship-building range — equally comfortable with residential customers, commercial clients, vendors, and company leadership Sharp with numbers — pricing, margins, percentages, financing figures, and forecasts are second nature Organized under pressure — juggling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment doesn't rattle you Self-directed — you exercise good judgment and follow through without someone looking over your shoulder Tech-comfortable — email, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and CRM/customer-management systems Integrity, non-negotiable — ethical, accurate, customer-first selling, every time Mobile and licensed — valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer locations, facilities, and jobsites Credential-ready — able to obtain and maintain required licenses and manufacturer certifications Bonus Points 5+ years of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, or commercial service sales experience 3+ years leading a home-services, commercial-services, or technical sales team Experience managing sales across both residential and commercial lines of business A track record selling service agreements, system replacements, equipment upgrades, and new-equipment installations Established relationships with commercial property owners, property managers, facility managers, general contractors, and other business customers Hands-on experience with sales dashboards, forecasting tools, coaching plans, CRM systems, and performance-improvement strategies Comfort reading architectural, mechanical, or plumbing drawings Experience coordinating sales opportunities with estimating, service, installation, and project teams Ready to Lead? If you're the kind of leader who turns a team of good reps into a team of great ones — and you'd rather build something real than just manage a number — we want to hear from you. Bring your experience, your energy, and your integrity. We'll bring the customers, the culture, and the room to grow.
