Schedule:
Average ~50 hours/week (includes occasional Saturdays during events/peak season) Position Overview The Regional Leader is a field-based leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple retail sod store locations within an assigned territory. This role ensures consistent, safe operations, strong sales performance, and excellent customer experience across all assigned stores. The South Region Leader will support stores, assist with customer issues and basic estimating/during busy seasons. This is a high-visibility growth position, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, with advancement potential into leadership roles within the company. Key Responsibilities Territory Leadership & Store Oversight (LMA)
  • Supervise and support multiple store locations within assigned territory
  • Ensure consistency in operations, safety, cleanliness, customer service, sales and performance
  • Know all functions of the stores to properly lead the store manager teams.
  • Maintain high standards across all locations
  • Other Duties as assigned Team Leadership & Development (LMA)
  • Train, coach, and develop Store Managers and Assistant Managers
  • Lead, manage, and hold team members accountable (LMA)
  • Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training and performance management
  • Conduct Quarterly Conversations and Annual Reviews with all direct reports. Sales & Growth Execution
  • Drive sales performance and accountability across all assigned stores
  • Support outbound sales efforts and customer development initiatives
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and coordination with marketing team for local marketing ideas
  • Assist with estimating during peak seasons Operations & Efficiency
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and shrink control
  • Monitor and train store performance metrics and implement improvements
  • Ensure equipment maintenance, equipment use, safety protocols, and operational procedures are followed
  • Guide store in managing inventory and distribute inventory across the network as necessary.
  • Maintain territory vendor relationships and product quality Customer Experience
  • Follow The Sod Lot Proven Process to build a team culture focused on Happy Customers, responsiveness and professionalism
  • Ensure every location delivers exceptional customer service
  • Assist with escalated customer issues and resolution Financial & Strategic Execution
  • Support budgeting and operational planning
  • Provide input on compensation planning
  • Align store-level execution with company-wide EOS goals

  • 5+ years of retail or operations. Multi-location management experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and accountability skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel daily between store locations
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in a physically active environment
  • Experience with Microsoft, SharePoint, POS systems preferred
  • Ability to operate equipment (or willingness to learn)
  • Must pass a drug screen/background check Base Salary
  • $60000
  • 65000 (depending on experience) Bonus Structure
Quarterly Bonus Potential:
