Your expertise will drive strategic initiatives to increase market share, promote our advanced medical products and services, and foster long-term partnerships. Duties Build, maintain, and expand relationships with referring physicians, advanced practice providers, hospitals, urgent care centers, physical therapy providers, employers, athletic organizations, senior-care organizations, case managers, and other community referral sources. Conduct regular in-person outreach visits, meetings, presentations, and follow-up activities with current and prospective referral partners. Educate referral sources about our physicians, providers, specialties, services, locations, appointment availability, and clinical capabilities. Develop and maintain an organized pipeline of current and prospective referral sources, including contact history, opportunities, next steps, and follow-up activities. Identify new referral opportunities, employer relationships, community partnerships, sports medicine affiliations, educational opportunities, and other potential sources of practice growth. Monitor referral patterns, new-patient activity, geographic opportunities, service-line opportunities, and competitive market activity. Identify declining referral relationships and work proactively with leadership and operational teams to understand and address potential concerns. Coordinate physician introductions, office visits, lunch-and-learn programs, professional networking opportunities, community events, and educational presentations. Support the market introduction of new physicians, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation services, locations, and clinical programs. Develop relationships with local businesses, employers, schools, athletic organizations, healthcare professionals, and community organizations where appropriate. Work closely with physicians, rehabilitation leadership, scheduling, front-office teams, operations, marketing, and other departments to ensure business-development efforts align with the practice's capabilities and patient-access goals. Communicate referral-source feedback, access concerns, scheduling issues, and market observations to appropriate internal leaders. Partner with marketing resources to develop and distribute appropriate referral materials, service information, presentations, and educational content. Maintain accurate and timely records of outreach activities, referral contacts, meetings, opportunities, events, expenses, and follow-up actions using approved tracking or CRM systems. Track business-development performance using established metrics, including outreach activity, referral growth, new-patient growth, source development, relationship retention, and event performance. Prepare regular activity and performance reports for executive leadership, including accomplishments, pipeline activity, referral trends, barriers, opportunities, and recommended next steps. Assist leadership with research and coordination related to potential partnerships, affiliations, employer relationships, service-line opportunities, and other growth initiatives. Manage approved business-development activities and expenditures within established budgets. Represent the practice professionally at healthcare, community, employer, athletic, and business networking events. Maintain confidentiality of patient, provider, employee, financial, and organizational information. Conduct all outreach and relationship-development activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA and applicable fraud-and-abuse requirements. Perform additional business-development projects and duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or Practice Administrator. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred. Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a degree. Three or more years of experience in healthcare business development, physician relations, provider outreach, medical sales, marketing, account management, or practice growth preferred. Experience working in orthopedics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, physician practices, or another healthcare environment strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive professional relationships. Experience developing referral sources, professional accounts, territories, partnerships, or other measurable business opportunities preferred. Understanding of physician practices, healthcare referral relationships, patient access, and medical office operations is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated and comfortable spending significant time conducting outreach in the community. Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships and opportunities simultaneously. Ability to analyze basic referral and business-development data and translate findings into action. Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Experience with CRM, sales-tracking, referral-tracking, or similar systems preferred. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the assigned market.
