Job Description

Lead The Revenue Conversation In One Of Florida's Most Magnetic Markets Imagine building business where the Gulf Coast meets global mobility—where blue-sky beach weekends, military reunions, corporate travel, college events, and destination celebrations create a sales landscape with real momentum. At Hyatt Place Pensacola Airport, you'll shape the commercial story for a hotel positioned at the gateway to Pensacola. Steps from Pensacola International Airport and within reach of downtown's historic energy, white-sand beaches, and the region's thriving aviation, healthcare, education, government, and military communities, this is a market made for a strategic seller with presence. We're looking for a commercially sharp, relationship-first leader who knows that great sales is not about filling rooms—it's about creating demand, winning trust, and making the hotel the obvious choice for every guest, group, and account that matters. Your Next Chapter Has Altitude This is an opportunity to lead with both imagination and discipline. You'll be the hotel's market-facing force: opening doors, cultivating influential partnerships, directing group and negotiated business, and translating local opportunity into measurable revenue. You'll work in a culture inspired by Hyatt's purpose of caring for people so they can be their best. That means bringing ambition without ego, confidence without complacency, and a genuine instinct for making clients, guests, and colleagues feel seen. What You'll Own Develop and execute a focused sales strategy that grows group, corporate, negotiated, and local account revenue. Lead proactive prospecting efforts across Pensacola's key demand generators, including aviation, military, healthcare, education, sports, entertainment, and regional business communities. Build enduring relationships with meeting planners, travel managers, corporate decision-makers, community partners, and key referral sources. Drive the sales pace through compelling presentations, thoughtful proposals, decisive follow-up, and skillful contract negotiations. Partner closely with hotel leadership and operations to create seamless experiences—from the first inquiry to the final farewell. Use market intelligence, competitive insight, and performance data to identify opportunity, strengthen positioning, and exceed revenue goals. Represent the hotel with polish at networking events, client meetings, site tours, community functions, and industry gatherings. Coach and inspire a high-accountability sales mindset rooted in curiosity, urgency, and exceptional service. Bring The Instinct To Win—and The Grace To Build Loyalty The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, connector, and closer. You understand that a full pipeline is built one meaningful conversation at a time. You can read a room, uncover the real business need, and turn a promising lead into a lasting partnership. What Will Set You Apart Progressive hotel sales leadership experience, preferably within an upscale select-service, full-service, airport, or high-volume market environment. A demonstrated record of achieving revenue goals through proactive sales, account management, and group business development. Strong knowledge of hotel sales systems, forecasting, market segmentation, and performance reporting. Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. A natural feel for local-market selling and the discipline to turn strategy into daily action. The ability to lead cross-functionally, move quickly, and remain composed when the pace accelerates. A guest-centered mindset and an authentic commitment to inclusive, respectful teamwork. Why Pensacola Pensacola delivers an uncommon blend of business relevance and coastal charisma. It's a city where the Blue Angels command the sky, historic downtown streets invite discovery, and Pensacola Beach offers some of the Gulf's most celebrated shoreline. The result is a market with a distinct point of view—and a hotel career that can feel as energizing as the destination itself. If you're ready to make a visible impact, build a powerful local network, and lead revenue with style, substance, and unmistakable momentum, we'd like to meet you.
