Job Description
ADP is recruiting for a Senior Director, Business Development for our National Accounts Services business unit. The Senior Director, Business Development will lead the business development and strategic partnership agenda for National Accounts, reporting to the DVP, Strategy & Business Development. This role is responsible for setting the partnership strategy, identifying priority growth opportunities, and shaping an ecosystem that accelerates Lyric innovation, addresses product capability gaps, and strengthens differentiated client solutions. The leader will work across Strategy, Product, Sales, Ventures, Corporate Development, and Business Unit leadership to define priorities, evaluate opportunities, and guide the partnership portfolio from strategy through value realization. The Senior Director will also provide leadership and direction to the Senior Manager, Business Development, who supports partnership evaluation, activation, and portfolio operations. Key Responsibilities Define and lead the National Accounts business development and partnership strategy in alignment with enterprise growth priorities and product roadmaps Partner with Business Unit, Product, Sales, and Strategy leaders to identify capability gaps and assess build, buy, or partner opportunities Set partnership priorities across AI, talent, workforce management, analytics, benefits, employee experience, and related enterprise capabilities Develop executive-level business cases, investment recommendations, commercial models, and proposals to support partnership decisions Lead senior external partner relationships, negotiations, contract discussions, and executive governance Serve as a key liaison across Ventures, Corporate Development, Marketplace, and other ADP partnership teams to ensure alignment across the broader ecosystem Provide direction and oversight to partnership evaluation, activation, and portfolio management activities led by the Senior Manager, Business Development Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Technology, Security, Legal, Procurement, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to advance priority partnerships Own the overall partnership portfolio strategy, performance reviews, ROI oversight, and value realization approach Establish governance processes and operating mechanisms to evaluate, launch, scale, and optimize strategic partnerships Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, ecosystem development, corporate strategy, corporate development, consulting, or related leadership roles Demonstrated success developing enterprise software, SaaS, HCM, AI, or technology partnerships Strong executive communication, negotiation, financial modeling, and business case development skills Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives in a complex enterprise environment Success Measures Strength and strategic value of the partnership portfolio Product capability gaps addressed through partnership solutions Growth, retention, and differentiation enabled through partnerships Executive stakeholder confidence and partner performance outcomes Effective partnership portfolio governance and cross-functional alignment #LI-AF1 #LI-Exec A little about
