Since 1998, our dedicated caregivers have helped older adults live comfortably, independently, and safely within the comfort of their own homes. Each Visiting Angels agency operates as an independent franchise, committed to delivering personalized care with integrity. Job Overview Build Relationships. Open Doors. Grow the Community. Visiting Angels is in need of a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Representative who thrives on meeting new people, creating opportunities, and growing a territory through strategic networking and referral development. This is not a desk job. This is a field-based role for someone who enjoys being out in the community, building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and becoming a trusted resource among healthcare professionals, senior living communities, physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, case managers, social workers, and other referral partners. If you are energized by connecting with people, opening new accounts, creating business opportunities, and turning relationships into long-term referral partnerships, we want to meet you. What You'll Do Grow New Business Prospect and develop new referral sources throughout the territory. Open new accounts and establish us as a trusted community resource. Identify opportunities to increase awareness and generate referrals. Consistently build and maintain a healthy pipeline of referral partners. Build Strong Relationships Conduct regular in-person visits with referral sources. Develop meaningful relationships with healthcare professionals and community partners. Become a trusted educational resource on home care services and solutions. Follow up consistently and stay connected with referral partners over time. Drive Territory Growth Create and execute a territory development plan. Track sales activities, referral partner interactions, and growth opportunities. Attend networking events, community outreach activities, and industry meetings. Deliver presentations and educational programs to referral sources and community groups. Aid the Client Success Management team in contacting leads when they are unavailable and assist with lead overflow. Prioritize connecting with leads live, including answering calls transferred from the Client Services team whenever available. Participate in the rotating weekend lead coverage schedule and ensure timely follow-up on leads received outside of regular business hours including holidays. Represent the Visiting Angels Brand Act as an ambassador for our mission and values. Maintain a professional presence in the community. Help families and referral partners understand how home care can improve outcomes and quality of life. Who Thrives in This Role You may be a great fit if you: Love meeting new people and building relationships. Are highly self-motivated and work well independently. Enjoy being in the field rather than sitting behind a desk. Have the confidence to start conversations and open new doors. Follow through and stay connected with people over time. Are persistent, resilient, and energized by challenges. Enjoy creating opportunities rather than waiting for them. Naturally influence and persuade others through trust and credibility. Want your work to make a meaningful impact on families in your community. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of sales, business development, healthcare marketing, or relationship-building experience preferred. Experience working with referral sources, healthcare professionals, or senior services is a plus. Strong communication and presentation skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems. What Success Looks Like Success in this role is measured by your ability to: Build strong referral relationships. Open new accounts and partnerships. Generate qualified referrals. Grow market awareness throughout the territory. Become a trusted resource within the healthcare community.
