Selling Sales Manager — General Manager Track We're looking for a proven sales leader who can come in and sell. You'll work with customers, take salesperson turnovers, close deals, and show the team what strong selling looks like. Then you'll recruit, train, and coach a sales team that can produce results consistently. You'll also hire and train a marketing employee to bring customers into the store. Your job is to connect that traffic to appointments, visits, and completed sales. What you'll do Personally sell appliances, furniture, flooring, and home improvement products. Step into customer conversations, handle objections, present available financing options, and help close sales. Recruit, hire, train, coach, and support a commissioned sales team. Create a clear sales process every salesperson follows, from greeting and product presentation through CRM follow-up and closing. Hire and train a marketing employee to create content, run promotions, generate leads, and increase store traffic. Track leads, store visits, close rates, and sales so you can improve what is working. Lead from the sales floor during the initial team-building period. This role requires the ability to work six to seven days a week initially, until the team is built and the store is stable. Path to General Manager Once the store's sales performance and staffing are stable, you'll train and mentor your replacement in daily sales leadership. The goal is for you to move into the General Manager role and take broader responsibility for the store's people, operations, customer experience, and results. The transition will depend on performance and the team's readiness. The background we're seeking Our strongest candidates will come from furniture or appliance retail, particularly those who have personally sold while leading a commissioned sales team. We also welcome proven automotive sales managers and flooring or home improvement showroom leaders who can demonstrate the same selling, recruiting, coaching, financing, and revenue-building skills. A title alone won't qualify you. We want to know what you personally sold, whom you hired and trained, what sales process you built, and how you increased traffic and revenue.
