Job Description
Director of Sales - OEM Manufacturing Waterloo, IA | $160,000 to $200,000 per year plus bonus A manufacturer of engineered products for on-road and off-road OEM customers is seeking a Director of Sales to lead North American sales strategy. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, this person will drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion across North America while leading a team of sales and account management professionals and coordinating closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations. Schedule Full-time. Travel is required to support customer engagement, team leadership, and market development activities. Compensation $160,000 to $200,000 per year, plus bonus. What You'll Do In this role, you will lead the development and execution of North American sales strategy, identifying and executing profitable growth opportunities by market segment, application, and customer, and evaluating market dynamics, competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and customer requirements. You will lead and develop a team including Market Managers (On-Road and Off-Road), Account Management, and Customer Relations, motivating and managing personnel to hit sales targets, profitability goals, and market expansion initiatives. You will manage and expand relationships with key OEM customers and strategic accounts, maintaining strong ties with decision-makers across engineering, purchasing, and executive leadership, and work to increase account penetration and share of wallet. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations to align product offerings with market needs, ensure sales activities align with product development processes and quality systems, and monitor product and account profitability, leading corrective actions such as pricing adjustments, cost-reduction initiatives, or product rationalization when performance falls short. You will also gather and analyze market intelligence, including competitor activity, customer trends, and emerging technologies, and maintain a strong market presence through customer visits, industry events, and trade organizations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Sales, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field 8 to 12+ years of experience in business development, strategic sales, or global account management Experience with multinational OEM customers in a manufacturing or engineered products environment Proven success leading complex, cross-regional business opportunities Experience managing nationwide accounts Experience setting expectations and goals for a sales team Preferred Qualifications MBA or other advanced degree Experience in the on-road or off-road equipment industry To apply, submit your resume through Indeed and a member of the hiring team will follow up regarding next steps.
