This position directs and manages the activities of the company's sales function. This is a top sales position within the company. The position has a total of 8 direct reports.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To meet or exceed annual sales projections. To manage the On-Premise sales workforce to the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness and productivity. To maximize account volume and profitability. To maintain a high level of sales capability through effective recruiting, training and management of subordinates. To plan and implement sales and marketing strategies that will enable the Company to meet its profit objectives. Directs the company On-Premise sales, merchandising, and marketing activities in accord with company policy and procedures. In conjunction with the Sales Manager, develops monthly and annual beer case and draft sales goals by brand, package and route and sales of wine and non-alcoholic beverages by gross revenue. With the appropriate Branch Managers, establish monthly goals for displays, merchandising and package placement for field sales personnel. Makes direct key account and chain account sales calls to develop and maintain relationships and promote Stein Distributing brands, packages and promotions. Coordinates the activities of SDC chain account managers, including the booking of featured pricing at chain and account level. In cooperation with the branch Managers, develops monthly sales and incentive objectives for each salesperson and pro-sell representatives. Monitors individuals and departments' actual performance to goal/budgets on a monthly basis. Makes adjustments as required to meet goals. Provides guidance to supervisors in setting the objectives for weekly branch sales meetings. Stays abreast of market trends and conducts training of subordinates to disseminate new industry information relating to market trends and the impact upon SDC' business. Maintains direct contact with Brewery representatives to receive, transmit and coordinate information relating to trade, competitive and wholesaler activities. In conjunction with the Sales manager, evaluates, revises and determines pricing levels and policies. Miscellaneous projects as assigned. Ensure Deadlines are meant.

Education:
High School Diploma. BS Degree in Business (preferred)
Experience/Requirements:
Computer Literate (Excel, Word, Acrobat Reader, XP - Office). Good organizational & multi-tasking skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to Detail. Works well with little supervision. Have good attendance and performance record. Have professional appearance and demeanor. One year of Sales or Management beverage industry experience. Craft beer industry knowledge Preferred. Acceptable Driving record (will need to supply 3-year MVR)
