Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION HOTEL SALES MANAGER
As the Hotel Sales Manager at the Parke Regency Hotel and Conference Center, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers and clients as well as ensuring accurate and complete information is transmitted between the client and the Food and Beverage Department. The position will report to Director of Sales and will be incharge of selling and detailing the events for the Conference Center. You will combine your skills, passion, customer-focus, positivity and helpful mindset to elevate our service delivery and be a strong contributor to the overall success we achieve. This position serves as a customer/client advocate, which involves hands-on contributions to the daily departmental workload, handling incoming calls, emails, and walk-ins. Clerical duties include sending faxes, copying, answering the telephone, sending and receiving emails, scheduling appointments, creating client files and creating Banquet Event Orders and Room Blocks from the contract received from Sales, and ensuring accurate and complete billing of all events. Duties also include giving site tours, customer correspondence and follow up during and after the event to ensure complete customer satisfaction as well as any other duties assigned by Management. Maintain close contact with Customers ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Work closely with the Director of Sales, Sales Manager and Food and Beverage Manager to ensure clear communication of events while ensuring for the customer a clear transition from Sales to the Catering Manager. Communicate to and coordinate with other hotel departments and personnel. Maintain accurate catering files and keeps detailed notes on all meetings with Clients and the events. Maintain good rapport with clients. Work closely with other departments to coordinate details, special requests and VIP packages. Participate in community activities, employee functions, and guest events. Works well under pressure and has the ability to meet tight deadlines Well organized and detail oriented, proven leadership skills. Team Player Excellent negotiation and influencing skills Any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements:
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Ability to type at least 50 wpm. Excellent verbal and written skills. Able to use advanced computer systems (client tracking, inventory control, forecasting tools). Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Goal-oriented and creative personality.

GM:
The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work. This includes working most weekends, holidays and possibly evenings. Carry out all reasonable requests by leadership team. College Degree or equivalent experience preferred The role of the Hotel Sales Manager is to ensure complete customer satisfaction in relation to Banquet Events as well as ensuring accurate and detailed transfer of information to all departments involved.
