Job Description

As a Sales Manager - Industrial Automation, you will create, manage, and promote the execution of automation business plans, including execution of objectives and sales goals. You will be responsible for the automation sales team who promotes and technically supports automation products. You will also develop strategic relationships with key customers.
Responsibilities :
Recruits, and manages performance of automation sales group. Projects and forecasts expected sales volume for existing and new product lines and customers. Manages sales pipeline for territory to provide enough opportunities to meet sales goals for automation products. Develops strategic relationships with key customers within territory. Analyzes, and understands local market to develop sales campaigns, creates marketing plans, and establishes sales quotas. Liaison between Wesco and automation vendors. Supports territory sales manager in all aspects of disciplined sales management. Prepares periodic sales reports for management showing sales volume, performance to goal, and potential opportunities
Qualifications:
High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. 5 years required electrical industry as a manufacturer or distributor. 5 years required selling, supporting, or using automation product like Rockwell Automation or equivalent manufacturer. Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources. Ability to perform analytics on sales history and market information. Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills. 2 years preferred technical sales management. Ability to travel up to 25%.
Working Environment :
Outside Sales - Work is generally performed in an office environment, but the employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
