Position Summary As the Regional Director of Sales , you will lead regional sales execution and drive growth through customer engagement, channel development, and sales team leadership. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will develop and coach a high-performing team focused on expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, and achieving revenue objectives. Working closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help position Rittal and EPLAN's integrated hardware and software solutions while ensuring alignment with company strategies and growth initiatives. What You'll Do Lead and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, growth, and market share objectives. Drive business growth across direct and indirect sales channels throughout the Midwest region. Build and strengthen relationships with customers, channel partners, consultants, OEMs, and system integrators. Identify new business opportunities, emerging market trends, and competitive threats. Develop strategic account plans and territory growth strategies that increase market penetration and customer engagement. Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals through regular coaching, performance development, and field support. Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention of top sales talent. Ensure effective use of CRM tools, forecasting processes, pipeline management, and KPI reporting. Collaborate with marketing, engineering, operations, product management, customer service, and business development teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Champion the One Rittal strategy by promoting integrated hardware and software solutions, including EPLAN. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of sales leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial automation, electrical products, software, technology, or related industries. Proven success leading and developing sales teams in a B2B environment. Experience managing direct and indirect sales channels. Strong background in customer relationship management and strategic account development. Experience with CRM systems, forecasting, pipeline management, and sales analytics. Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and relationship-building skills. Preferred Degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree. Experience in industrial automation, electrical engineering, power distribution, climate control, software, or related technical solutions. Why Join Rittal?
