The Dual Sales Manager is responsible and accountable for all Sales and Marketing for the TownePlace Suites and Springhill Suites by Marriott Waukegan/Gurnee. This role will focus on building new business, proactive sales, marketing, revenue management and maximizing sales while making sure we are securing the right pieces of business for the two hotels. The successful Dual Sales Manager is a team player who is a champion of the sales process, knows their market and creates positive relationships with the Operations Team and the Front Desk Team. Develop and grow Group and Business Transient business for both hotels through proactive and reactive sales strategies. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer satisfaction to both external clients and internal partners, aiming to secure repeat and referral business for Genuine Hospitality portfolio. In addition to maintaining current relationships, the position involves identifying new business opportunities and maximizing existing accounts or market segments. Acting as a key liaison, this role bridges communication and collaboration between clients and the hotels.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to both internal partners and external clients at all times. Respond promptly, professionally, and effectively to all inquiries, delivering clear and concise communication that reflects Genuine Hospitality's standards across all channels. Demonstrate excellent time management, self-motivation, and proactive planning while maintaining organizational awareness and attention to detail. Focus on sustaining relationships within assigned accounts and segments, while diligently pursuing new business opportunities for the hotels. Maintain a professional appearance and dress in accordance with the company's standards, ensuring a polished and business-appropriate presentation at all times. Oversee all aspects of pre-event, event, and post-event details. This includes tracking and communicating event particulars such as room blocks, meeting spaces, special concessions, group history, key dates, contract terms, group resumes, event orders, billing, and other essential components. Be available to attend networking functions as required, ensuring account growth and relationship-building. Collaborate with internal and external partners to accurately forecast group rooms and F&B revenue while optimizing available space and maximizing hotel revenues. Gain a thorough understanding of the hotel's offerings, including food and beverage products, pricing, presentation, function spaces, audio-visual capabilities, and other key details for event success. Consistently meet sales activity and revenue goals through proactive and reactive efforts such as calls, site tours, and appointments, as defined by Genuine Hospitality, your RDOS, and your General Managers. Utilize digital sales systems and sales processes (e.g., Delphi, OneSource, Fosse) while aligning with the hotel's sales strategies, including the action plans, rates, and budgeted goals. Leverage these tools to achieve personal and team objectives efficiently. Participate in all required internal meetings, Revenue calls, reporting, training sessions, and planning activities. Foster teamwork, collaboration, and an entrepreneurial mindset to make decisions that benefit the hotel and help achieve overall team goals.
