The Senior Director of Membership Experience leads bold strategies that expand membership, elevate service, and advance the YMCA mission. This role partners closely with center leadership to deliver consistent, timely, and exceptional experiences for every member. Most of your work fuels momentum behind the scenes: building retention plans, coaching staff, shaping training, analyzing trends, and leading team meetings. The rest happens on the floor, connecting with members, inspiring staff, and building relationships that move the community forward. Supervision may include Member Engagement Specialists, the member services team, and support for center or association initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in sales or customer experience, including 3 to 4 years of strategic planning with a record of surpassing goals Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly Excellent presentation, writing, and negotiation skills Entrepreneurial mindset with flexibility in a fast paced, evolving environment Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends Knowledge of YMCA membership offerings including income based pricing, corporate, and insurance based options Ability to build relationships that support a healthier, more equitable, more connected community
