Job Description
Reliant Healthcare is seeking an experienced, high-performing Director of Business Development to lead growth of its 340B contract pharmacy platform across the South-Central United States As a Director of Business Development approximately half of the position is focused on managing and expanding Reliant's existing portfolio of 340B contract pharmacy accounts at the C-suite level, and half is focused on new business development — identifying, cultivating, and closing new hospital and health system relationships. The ideal candidate will bring an existing network and credibility in the 340B space, with direct experience calling on hospital C-suite executives (CEOs, CFOs) and a demonstrated ability to both grow existing accounts and win new logos. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary relationship owner for Reliant's existing 340B contract pharmacy accounts, maintaining and strengthening relationships with hospital and health system C-suite executives, including CEOs and CFOs. Proactively identify opportunities to grow revenue and expand penetration within the current book of business by working directly with C-suite administration to uncover additional needs and service opportunities. Identify, target, and recruit new 340B contract pharmacy accounts among hospitals and health systems throughout Reliant's licensed states in the South-Central U.S. Develop and execute a territory-wide business development strategy, including prospecting, pipeline management, and forecasting for new account acquisition. Deliver polished presentations and proposals to hospital executive leadership and boards, articulating the value of Reliant's 340B contract pharmacy platform. Collaborate with internal operations, pharmacy, and compliance teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing service delivery for new and existing accounts. Maintain a strong working knowledge of 340B program requirements, HRSA compliance, and industry/regulatory developments affecting contract pharmacy relationships. Represent Reliant Healthcare at relevant industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build market presence and generate new business leads. Travel throughout the assigned territory as needed to meet with clients and prospects in person. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in 340B contract pharmacy, pharmacy business development, or a closely related field, with direct experience selling to or managing hospital C-suite relationships. Prior experience with a 340B contract pharmacy provider, third-party administrator (TPA), 340B software/compliance platform, or a similar industry organization is strongly preferred. Demonstrated track record of both account growth (expanding existing client relationships) and new business acquisition (closing new accounts). Strong understanding of hospital operations, pharmacy purchasing, and 340B HRSA program compliance requirements. Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the credibility and polish to engage confidently with hospital CEOs and CFOs. Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable managing a multi-state territory with significant autonomy. Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the South-Central U.S. territory. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant industry certification a plus. Reliant Healthcare offers a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus a performance-based bonus or commission structure tied to new account development and revenue growth. Full benefits package available. Reliant Healthcare is a multi-disciplinary pharmacy company with locations in the south. We were founded in 2008 by multiple partners from the healthcare space with a mission to improve the patient experience by providing exceptional personalized service for patients with chronic disease. #INDPE2023
