Job Description
UK Sales Manager Job ref: TB28 Our client, based in Braintree, Essex, is seeking an experienced UK Sales Manager to join their team. The role will be office-based, with approximately three days per week spent visiting clients. This is an exceptional role offering diverse and exciting tasks, working with a dynamic team and collegial working environment. Our client will provide a mobile phone, laptop, and company car, including private use. You will need to have at least 2 years' business-to-business direct sales experience, preferably in the electrical / tools / PPE / sector. You will be a pragmatic leader, accustomed to working within medium-sized business structures and with experience leading small teams.
The role will involve:
Leading and inspiring the UK sales team, including conducting individual performance reviews, developing team members' skills, managing conflicts, and supporting recruitment. Managing relationships with key accounts while identifying and acquiring new key accounts, particularly within the electrical distribution and wholesale sectors.Strategic Deployment:
Defining development strategies, translating them into operational actions, and overseeing their implementation. Monitoring the market and competitors and defining appropriate strategies and actions to drive business growth. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Developing the commercial policy, product offering, and pricing structure; prioritising and allocating resources; preparing sales forecasts; and monitoring margins and direct costs. Facilitating decision-making and coordinating resources to ensure efficiency in expenditure and investment. Monitoring regulatory changes, developing the organisation and procedures, establishing and updating performance indicators, and monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of services. Working closely with colleagues in Product Management and R D. Managing the department's budget and reporting. Coordinating with the wider Sales Department and local Service Managers.
