Job Description
Merrow Superior LLC, part of the Merrow Group, is seeking a Channel Sales Manager - Apparel Reseller & Wholesale to build and grow our business with apparel resellers, wholesalers and distributors. This is a business-development and channel-growth role , not a retail store management position. We are looking for someone who understands how products get placed, positioned and sold through retail channels and who is comfortable building new business from the ground up. The successful candidate will identify target accounts, develop relationships with buyers and decision-makers, open new customers, expand existing opportunities and help determine which products and brands have the strongest potential within the retail apparel market. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build a channel—not simply inherit a territory. What You'll Do Develop and execute a sales strategy for the Apparel channel. Identify and pursue new resellers, wholesale and distribution accounts. Build relationships with buyers, merchants, sourcing teams and other commercial decision-makers. Introduce relevant products and brands to new customers and identify opportunities to expand assortments within existing accounts. Develop a qualified sales pipeline and move opportunities from initial contact through quote, trial, placement and repeat business. Learn how customers currently source products, what competitors they use and where gaps exist in price, assortment, availability or service. Work with internal product and purchasing teams to identify new products, assortment gaps and supplier opportunities based on actual customer demand. Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing, buying trends, customer needs and emerging opportunities. Coordinate with Customer Experience and internal account teams to ensure opportunities are supported and customer commitments are executed. Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity stages, next actions and forecast information. Travel as needed to meet customers, develop strategic accounts and support industry opportunities. What We're Looking For B2B sales, wholesale, channel-development or business-development experience. Experience selling into apparel, fashion, specialty retail, wholesale, distribution or related markets strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts rather than simply manage an existing customer base. Comfortable prospecting and opening relationships with buyers and decision-makers. Strong commercial judgment around pricing, margin, opportunity qualification and negotiation. Ability to learn a broad product assortment and translate products into a clear customer value proposition. Comfortable operating in an environment where new markets and product opportunities are actively being developed. Strong follow-through and organizational discipline. Experience using CRM or other sales-management systems. Ability to work across sales, purchasing, product, customer service and leadership teams. What Success Looks Like Success in this role will be measured by: New wholesale / reseller customers opened. Revenue and gross-profit growth within the channel. Development of a healthy qualified sales pipeline. Expansion of product placement within existing customers. Conversion of opportunities into repeat purchasing relationships. Identification of new product, supplier and competitive opportunities. Accurate pipeline management and consistent follow-through.
