Business Development Outdoor Perspective New England Region | Full-Time Outdoor Perspective is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth across our commercial landscape maintenance, landscape installation, enhancement, and snow and ice management divisions. This is a senior, relationship-driven position for a proven business development professional who understands the landscape industry and can identify opportunities, develop strong client relationships, and convert those relationships into profitable long-term contracts. About Outdoor Perspective Outdoor Perspective is a full-service landscape construction, maintenance, and snow management company serving commercial and residential clients throughout Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. We are known for responsive service, quality workmanship, strong field operations, and the ability to manage properties and projects from initial planning through ongoing maintenance. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a seasoned professional who can expand our commercial client base and strengthen our position in the New England market. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with company growth and profitability goals. Identify and pursue new commercial landscape maintenance, installation, enhancement, and snow management opportunities. Build relationships with property managers, facility managers, developers, general contractors, condominium associations, and commercial property owners. Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, industry relationships, direct outreach, and market research. Manage opportunities from initial contact through site review, proposal development, negotiation, and contract award. Maintain an organized and accurate sales pipeline with clear follow-up activities and projected closing dates. Work closely with estimating, operations, and company leadership to develop competitive and operationally achievable proposals. Conduct property walkthroughs and client meetings to understand service expectations, site conditions, budgets, and long-term objectives. Support contract renewals, account expansion, and cross-selling across Outdoor Perspective's service divisions. Represent Outdoor Perspective at industry events, association meetings, networking functions, and client presentations. Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities throughout the region. Ensure new work meets company standards for profitability, operational capacity, and client fit. Ideal Candidate Minimum of 5-7 years of successful business development or sales experience, preferably within commercial landscaping, property services, snow management, construction, facilities management, or a related industry. Established relationships within the New England commercial property market are strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts and close recurring service contracts and project-based work. Strong understanding of consultative selling, contract negotiation, proposal development, and account strategy. Working knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance, landscape construction, enhancements, and snow and ice management is preferred. Ability to evaluate opportunities based on revenue potential, profitability, operational requirements, and long-term value. Strong communication, presentation, organization, and follow-up skills. Self-directed and comfortable developing opportunities independently while collaborating with estimating and operations teams. Proficiency with CRM, estimating, and general business software. Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the company's service area. What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities, secure profitable long-term client relationships, expand work with existing accounts, and help Outdoor Perspective achieve sustainable growth without compromising service quality.
