Job Description
Director of SalesCrossFire Group | Auburn Hills, MI | Base Salary Starting at $80,000+ and Commission Ready to Build Something? CrossFire Group is looking for a Director of Sales to lead our new business strategy and help build the next stage of our sales organization.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your first six months figuring out what to sell, who to target, or how to get started. We already have a defined ideal client profile, a proven outbound process, HubSpot infrastructure, established target industries, and a sales approach that works. We're looking for someone who can take that foundation, drive it day to day, and make it better.
You'll join the CrossFire leadership team, own new business development, and have the opportunity to build a sales team around you as we grow.
What You'll OwnDrive new business from initial prospecting through signed contract and successful client kickoff.
Build relationships with decision-makers across automotive, defense, healthcare, energy, utilities, and other technical industries.
Run and continuously improve our outbound sales strategy, including prospecting, sequencing, follow-up, and pipeline management.
Use HubSpot to keep opportunities moving and maintain a healthy, accurate pipeline.
Turn conversations into meetings, meetings into opportunities, and the right opportunities into long-term clients.
Work closely with our recruiting and Employment Solutions teams to make sure we're pursuing business we can deliver on exceptionally well.
Develop deeper relationships with clients instead of focusing on one-time transactions.
Represent CrossFire at client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
As we grow, recruit, develop, and lead a sales team, creating the coaching and accountability structure they need to succeed.
Participate as an active member of our leadership team, including weekly EOS Level 10 meetings and quarterly planning.
What We're Looking ForYou're someone who knows how to create new business, not just manage an existing book of accounts.
Ideally, you bring: 3+ years of B2B sales experience with direct responsibility for generating new business.
A track record of hitting or exceeding sales goals.
Experience with staffing, recruiting, professional services, or another relationship-driven B2B sale.
Confidence selling to senior decision-makers, particularly within HR, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Operations, or executive leadership.
Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM and modern outbound sales tools.
A relationship-first approach. You know how to listen, understand the business problem, and sell the right solution rather than forcing a deal.
The ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with recruiting, operations, and leadership.
Sales leadership or team-building experience is a plus, but we're also open to a high-performing individual contributor who is ready to take the next step into leadership.
EOS experience is helpful, but not required.
Why CrossFire?
Since 2002, CrossFire Group has helped companies build stronger teams through staffing and employment solutions across automotive, defense, healthcare, energy, utilities, and other technical industries.
We've built the infrastructure behind this role already. You'll have a documented sales process, defined targets, a weekly scorecard, an established CRM, and a recruiting organization ready to support the business you bring in.
What we don't want is someone who simply follows the playbook forever.
We want a sales leader who can learn what works, challenge what can be better, and ultimately build a stronger sales organization around it.
As CrossFire continues to grow, this role also has the potential to expand beyond sales leadership into broader responsibility for growth and marketing strategy.
How We WorkWe run CrossFire on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), which means priorities are clear, expectations are measurable, and accountability matters.
We believe in getting it right, not just getting it done. We find a way for our clients, communicate directly, and build relationships that last well beyond the first placement.
If that sounds like the way you like to sell and lead, we'd like to meet you.
