We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Sales Director who is hands-on, results-driven, and passionate about selling weddings, golf outings, corporate events, and other social events at Twin Lakes Golf Club. As the Catering Sales Director, you will be responsible for generating revenue by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and ensuring the successful execution of events. Your primary goal will be to drive sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and elevate our reputation as a premier golf and event destination.Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify target markets and segments for golf outings, corporate events, social events, and weddings.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings.
- Create annual sales plans, budgets, and forecasts with our CFO.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and corporate partners.
- Establish a database of potential clients and maintain regular communication with them.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
New Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by proactively reaching out to potential clients.
- Conduct sales presentations, site visits, and negotiations with prospective clients.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop lead generation campaigns and promotional materials.
Event Coordination and Execution:
- Work closely with the events team to ensure the successful planning and execution of golf outings, corporate events, social events, and weddings.
- Detail events and generate Banquet Event Orders and diagrams for upcoming events.
- Effectively communicate all event plans, timelines, details, and arrangements for functions with responsible departments.
- Build relationships with preferred vendors and ensure they have the best interest of the client and facility in mind.
- Be present onsite at the start of high-profile events to ensure proper event setup and also to meet and greet clients.
- Review banquet checks for accuracy post-event
- Follow up with clients for feedback and share with other departments.
- Attend internal wedding menu tastings and work directly with the chef on menus.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure all client expectations are met.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and pipelines.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Prepare regular sales performance reports for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field experience (over three years preferred).
- Proven track record of successful sales experience in the hospitality, golf, or event industry.
- Strong network and connections in the local corporate and event planning communities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with CaterEase software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by client events.
