Dick Scott Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Pre-Owned Center is looking for an experienced and motivated Pre-Owned Sales Manager to lead and grow our used vehicle department. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and is passionate about team development, inventory performance, and customer satisfaction. Prepare and administer and annual operating budget for the used-vehicle sales department. Establish recommended unit sales and dollar gross profit objectives. Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect used-vehicle sales (e.g., ensure that Buyer's Guide stickers are affixed to the window of every used vehicle.) Hire, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all used-vehicle sales employees. Meet with sales staff daily to review all prospects. Establish a program which ensures that used-vehicle salespeople are kept informed of all new inventory. Establish and enforce product knowledge standards. Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees. Oversee the efforts of used-vehicle salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership. Communicate with used-vehicle salespeople to ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed. Guide all salespeople in setting their objectives on a short- and long-range basis. Review all used-vehicle salespeople's performance. Assist in developing programs of improvement for those salespeople who are failing to reach their objectives. Use online auctions when necessary to purchase vehicles. Monitor customer and market analyses to determine what customers want to buy. Maintain a used-vehicle inventory that features a variety of colors, models, and equipment. Enforce a 60-day turn policy. Appraise all incoming used vehicle trades. Plan and control the reconditioning and display of vehicles. Help salespeople close deals, ensure every customer sees Used-vehicle Sales Manager before leaving. Establish and control wholesaling, with Dealer and GSM concurrence. Maintain standards for the delivery of vehicles to customers. Assist in the development of advertising campaigns and other promos. Here's what you'll need: Preferred 3 years of Sales Manager experience , but will train the right candidate Available to work flexible hours and weekends Experience in F&I is highly desired but not a requirement Must be able to provide references upon request Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent experience Must be 18 years or older and be authorized to work in the U.S A valid in-state driver's license and a good driving record, per company standards
