Job Description

Position Summary and Responsibilities:
The Regional Sales Manager will focus on developing and executing an aggressive sales strategy to drive revenue growth for AMETEK's Specialty Metal Products (SMP) business unit. SMP manufactures and markets a wide range of products including; precision tubing, powder, and precision strip and wire. These products are available in a wide range of materials such as; stainless steel, nickel alloys, precious metals, and titanium to the end use markets of; aerospace, medical, electronics, defense, nuclear, and oil & gas. This position will work closely with purchasing managers, engineers, and commodity managers to promote and sell AMETEK's SMP products.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Planning:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve a strategic sales plan to grow revenue and expand AMETEK SMP's presence.
Customer Engagement:
Engage directly with key decision-makers in the industry, focusing on Central US clients, to exceed sales and margin targets.
Market Development:
Identify new opportunities and prospective clients, supporting
AMETEK SMP
growth in niche markets.
Budgeting & Reporting:
Prepare and manage sales forecasts, weekly updates, and activity reports, ensuring consistent data entry in Salesforce.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the VP of Sales & Marketing to establish competitive pricing strategies that meet client requirements in the territory.
Customer Support:
Maintain regular contact with customers to assess satisfaction levels and provide technical support on current and new products.
Market Intelligence:
Gather data on market trends, applications, and competitive conditions in New England to guide product and sales strategies.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience in outside sales, particularly in medtech, electronics packaging, batteries, semiconductor assembly, and other
AMETEK SMP
markets.
Education:
BS in Engineering, Marketing, Business Management, or equivalent.
Skills:
Strong sales, marketing, and communication skills; proficiency in digital marketing and Salesforce is highly desirable.
Travel:
Up to 50% travel
