General Manager Position Summary:
We are looking for a results-driven, hands-on Director of Sales to lead all sales efforts at our property. This role is critical in driving top-line revenue through proactive sales strategies, strong brand knowledge, and exceptional relationship-building. The Director of Sales will manage all aspects of the sales process, including business development, client relationship management, revenue forecasting, and collaboration with brand and corporate teams.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the hotel's annual sales plan to meet or exceed revenue goals. Actively prospect, qualify, and close new group, corporate, government, and transient business. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for growth and repeat business. Conduct site visits, attend trade shows, and represent the hotel at networking events. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales performance, pipeline, and booking pace. Collaborate with the Revenue and Marketing teams to align pricing, promotions, and digital campaigns. Monitor market trends and competitive set performance; adjust strategy as needed. Utilize brand-specific sales tools (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Choice, Hyatt) to enhance performance and stay in compliance with brand standards. Lead and develop any on-property sales coordinators or managers, fostering a high-performance culture. Maintain accurate records and documentation in the hotel's CRM system (e.g., Delphi, CI/TY, or brand-specific platforms).Qualifications:
3+ years of hotel sales experience, preferably with branded properties (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Choice, Hyatt). Strong knowledge of corporate, group, and transient segments. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in sales software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings or weekends for events or client needs.Ideal Candidate:
