Reidsville, NC Job Details Full-time $90,000 - $120,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Interpersonal skills Team development Prospecting Training & development Time management Full Job Description Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and managing the dealership's Business Development Center (BDC) and driving customer engagement throughout the vehicle sales process. This position focuses on generating new sales opportunities, effectively managing internet, phone, and digital leads, increasing appointment volume, improving appointment show rates, and helping the sales team convert opportunities into vehicle purchases. Essential Duties  Develop and implement strategies to generate new vehicle sales and service opportunities.  Answers all inbound profit center calls - sales, service, parts and body shop.  Makes outbound prospecting calls inviting prospects to the dealership.  Make CSI follow-up calls.  Advises customers on special-order parts status, appointment reminders, and recall campaigns.  Manage incoming internet, phone, website, social media, and third-party leads.  Establish daily, weekly, and monthly appointment-setting goals.  Monitor appointment volume, confirmation rates, show rates, and sold appointments.  Coach BDC representatives on effective appointment-setting techniques.  Implement follow-up strategies designed to increase customer appointment attendance.  Coordinate with the sales team to ensure customers have a seamless experience when they arrive at the dealership.  Recruit, train, coach, and develop BDC representatives as needed.  Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.  Establish individual and team performance goals.  Monitor employee activity and productivity.  Conduct meetings to review leads, appointments, follow-up activities, and performance metrics.  Create a positive, accountable, and customer-focused team culture.  Work closely with Sales Managers and other dealership departments to improve lead conversion. Qualifications  Communication is extremely important in a sales department as it contributes to team- building with all dealership departments.  Previous automotive dealership experience preferred.  Previous experience in BDC, internet sales, automotive sales, customer service, or business development strongly preferred.  Prior management or team-leadership experience preferred.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.  Strong telephone and appointment-setting skills.  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.  Comfortable working with CRM and automotive dealership software Preferred Skills  Automotive sales knowledge  BDC/Internet Sales experience  CRM management  Lead generation and lead conversion  Sales coaching and training  Customer relationship management  Telephone sales  Digital communication and texting  Performance tracking and analytics  Social media and digital marketing familiarity Language Skills  Bilingual is a Plus Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Manufacturer Training Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
