Job Description CNBC Councils are exclusive membership communities that bring together leading C-suite executives across industries. Through curated programming, candid peer exchange, industry insights, and high-impact events, members gain opportunities to connect, learn, and engage with the issues shaping business today. CNBC is seeking a Membership Manager to drive new-member sales across its portfolio of C-suite Councils, including the
CNBC CEO
Council, CNBC CFO Council, CNBC Technology Executive Council, and CNBC Workforce Executive Council. This is a hands-on new-business sales role focused on prospecting, developing a strong pipeline of qualified executives, and converting prospects into members. Reporting to the Membership Director, the Membership Manager will manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle and work closely with the broader Membership team to achieve shared membership and revenue goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive, creative salesperson who can build relationships with senior executives, develop targeted approaches to new-business development, and clearly communicate the value of CNBC Councils. What You'll Do Own the full new-member sales cycle, from prospecting and pipeline development through lead nurturing, negotiation, closing, and handoff for onboarding. Contribute meaningfully to shared new-membership and revenue goals across the CNBC Councils portfolio. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified C-suite executives and senior leaders across priority companies and industries. Develop creative, targeted prospecting strategies through direct outreach, referrals, executive introductions, industry events, small gatherings, and other relationship-building opportunities. Craft tailored sales messaging that connects the value of CNBC Councils to each prospect's role, company, and business priorities. Source, vet, and recruit members who meet each Council's criteria and strengthen the quality of its executive community. Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and convert qualified interest into membership opportunities. Build trusted relationships with C-suite prospects and the stakeholders involved in membership decisions, including communications, marketing, and executive-office leaders. Maintain accurate and timely Salesforce records and use pipeline data, performance trends, and market insights to prioritize opportunities and refine sales approaches. Partner with Membership Engagement, Operations, Marketing, Editorial, and Events teams on coordinated recruitment efforts and a smooth transition from prospect to member. Provide regular updates on sales progress, pipeline health, risks, and opportunities, and share prospect insights that can strengthen Council positioning and support future growth.

Salary range:
$100,000

Bonus eligible Qualifications Qualifications/Requirements 3+ years of successful B2B sales or business-development experience, ideally selling memberships, professional services, media, events, or other high-value offerings. Demonstrated success generating leads, managing a pipeline, and closing new business. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and relationships with C-suite executives and other senior decision-makers. A creative, resourceful approach to prospecting and developing new sales opportunities. Strong organizational and analytical skills, including experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM to manage pipeline activity, track performance, and inform sales decisions. Sound judgment and attention to quality when evaluating prospects against membership criteria and editorial standards. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Ability to travel occasionally and attend select early-morning or evening events as needed. Experience selling to senior executives or working in membership, media, or events is a plus.
