Motor Components LLC is a global leader in the electronic fuel pump industry, seeking an experienced on-site
SALES MANAGER
to manage and strengthen customer relationships across our OEM & Aftermarket fuel pump business. Our products include low- and high-pressure pumps used in gasoline, diesel, and specialty fluid applications. This position serves as the primary liaison between customers and the business, with a focus on maintaining existing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, supporting customer needs, managing pricing and forecasts, and partnering with internal teams to provide effective solutions to ensure Motor Components remains a trusted technical partner to its customers.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key OEM and Aftermarket, serving as a primary point of contact and maintaining regular communication regarding customer needs, programs, product needs, and market conditions.
- Develop annual sales budgets and account plans and prepare accurate monthly sales forecasts and business updates based on customer programs, historical demand, and market conditions.
- Identify and pursue strategically aligned new business opportunities that complement the company's existing products, capabilities, and strategic objective.
- Work closely with customer engineering teams to understand application requirements, provide product solutions, and support new and existing programs.
- Manage pricing and gross margins in alignment with established business-unit profitability objectives while supporting competitive and sustainable customer relationships.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other internal teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer needs, including quotations, order-related issues, warranty claims, returns, and technical concerns.
- Provide market and competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and industry insights while supporting key marketing initiatives, including trade shows, advertising, cataloging, websites, merchandising and digital marketing.
- Represent Motor Components through regular travel for customer visits, industry events, and trade shows.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- 3+ years of sales or account management experience within a specialized manufacturing, industrial, automotive, or engineer-products environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office & ERP experience (Syspro, is a plus)
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with sales forecasting, pricing, account planning, margin management, pipeline/account management, and CRM systems.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand product applications and communicate effectively with engineers and technical customers.
