Job Description

Leonard's is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dynamic Banquet Sales Manager to join our team. The Banquet Sales Manager targets and coordinates catering sales efforts at Leonard's. The position involves the initiation and development of inquiry leads to ensure the growth of banquet sales. The primary responsibility of a Banquet Sales Manager is to develop existing business and solicit new banquet business at the venue. The position entails booking, selling, planning, and coordinating events while assuring the highest level of customer service.
Work Schedule:
Schedule is determined by the needs of the company, as determined by the Chief Operating Officer. Typically, weekdays and weekends between 10:00am to 7:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish new accounts and proactively pursue leads to develop business for the venue. Conduct tours of the property; entertain qualified potential clients in accordance with property policies and procedures. Monitor booking space to maximize use of all available space to generate room revenues. Keep accurate records of deposit schedules and ensure all events are paid in full by the appropriate date. Work closely with clients from initial contact through completion of the event. Process and collect payments, review, and select menus and confirm all event details. Ensure these details have been communicated with the operations team and compliance with Leonard's standard procedure. Through banquet event orders, provide accurate and concise information to all departments regarding event needs. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all alterations to the Banquet Event Orders and client's special requests. Review event details with any necessary departments to ensure the event will be executed to the hosts' satisfaction. Always maintain a professional image, through appearance and dress. Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction. Contribute towards the achievement of revenue objectives. Participate in sales team meetings. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
Position Requirements:
At least 3 years of banquet or hotel sales experience. At least 1 year of operations experience is preferred. Fluent in Spanish (bilingual) preffered Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task. Strong organizational skills. Flexible schedule - evening and weekend hours required.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
