We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales to lead, coach, and inspire our sales team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, the Director will directly oversee a team of about 24 Inside Account Executives and Outside Senior Account Executives. In this crucial role, you will drive the daily operational execution of our sales strategy, optimizing rep productivity to ensure the team consistently achieves daily, weekly, and monthly goals. You will provide accurate sales forecasts, coach and mentor team members to drive organizational growth objectives forward. This role is based in our Huntington Station, NY HQ, with field travel as needed across NY, NJ, CT, MA, and PA to support SAE's, conduct joint district visits, and attend conferences as needed.

Responsibilities in this role:
Coaching & Mentorship:
Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, call reviews, and team meetings to foster professional growth and performance improvement.
Celebrate Success:
Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements to create a motivating and high-performance culture.
Onboarding & Training:
Onboard new sales representatives, providing comprehensive training on systems, products, services, and market specifics.
Territory Strategy Execution:
Operationalize and implement territory-specific sales strategies aligned with overall organizational goals.
Sales Performance Monitoring:
Track and analyze sales metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management to drive informed decision-making.
Cross Department Collaboration:
Partner with marketing, purchasing, and client services to streamline sales processes and enhance overall effectiveness.
Relationship Building:
Cultivate strong partnerships with vendor partners while assisting the sales team in developing lasting customer relationships.
Support & Guidance:
Aid team members with bid responses, presentations and proposals to ensure successful customer engagements.
Foster Communication:
Establish effective communication channels between the sales team and upper management to ensure alignment and transparency. What you'll bring to the team: 5+ years of sales management experience at the director level; experience in the K-12 education or technology sector is a plus. Exceptional coach and mentor dedicated to building, inspiring, and developing high-performing sales talent. Consistent track record of driving lead generation, leveraging proven sales methodologies, and exceeding revenue targets. Demonstrated expertise using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track pipeline metrics, drive rep accountability, and manage forecasting. Strategic thinker who uses data and sales metrics to optimize performance and guide decisions. Strong communicator and problem-solver who prioritizes effectively and thrives in a fast-paced setting. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field preferred.
