Job Description

Detailed Job Description & Duties Sales Manager Summary The Sales Manager is responsible for all sales activity from lead generation through to close of sale.

The Sales Manager will work with the Sales Team in ensuring that the customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives are met. The Sales Manager will uphold the company's standards in all communication with clients. The Sales Manager will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients. The Sales Manager will be responsible for speaking to clients, creating proposals and contracts, communicating event details, disseminating event details to all departments, ensuring correct event and pricing information is conveyed to clients. Sales Manager Duties
  • Building strong relationships with customers
  • Effectively communicating the value through proposals and meetings and conversation
  • Speaking on the phone, taking voicemails, responding to requests and intakes
  • Following up on leads and bookings, disseminating information to production
  • Meeting with clients, going to site‐reviews, and hosting tastings
  • Promptly create proposals, contracts and kitchen orders
  • Submit contracts to Finance for payment
  • Order rentals and create layouts
  • Collaborating in planning meetings with other departments
  • Ensure that all event details are confirmed such as layouts, guest counts, timelines, rentals and locations
  • Oversee the work flow with Sales Coordinator(s)
  • Develop standardized processes for the Sales Team, and implement thorough training for new team members
  • Other duties as assigned Requirements
  • Proven sales experience, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Ability to work with a team to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and position them against competitors
  • Experience in developing client‐focused solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills & proficiency with MS Office
  • Hospitality experience and ability to create menus
