Job Description
Position Summary The Dual Director of Sales is responsible for driving hotel revenue through strategic sales, marketing, and account development. This role leads the sales team and ensures all revenue and room night goals are achieved or exceeded. Primary Responsibilities Sales & Prospecting Conduct a minimum of 20 quality outside sales calls per week (networking, in person) Conduct a minimum of 25 prospecting sales calls per week (cold calls, networking, and in-person visits Identify and develop new business opportunities through research, referrals, and market intelligence Maintain active prospecting using local business news, industry leads, and vendor contacts Conduct site tours and presentations to convert leads into business Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies as needed Develop and execute sales action plans and revenue forecasts Perform other duties as assigned Account Management & Service Maintain and grow existing accounts through consistent communication and relationship building Understand each account's needs and align hotel services accordingly Prepare and distribute accurate sales reports, proposals, and contracts Ensure all event details are communicated clearly to operations teams Handle client issues quickly and professionally Promote hotel packages and alternate dates during high-demand periods Ensure banquet and event requirements are accurately executed (BEOs, diagrams, guarantees, etc.) Follow up with post-event communication and service recovery when needed Perform other duties as assigned Revenue & Business Strategy Drive overall hotel revenue performance and support achievement of quarterly and annual goals Participate in brand revenue management initiatives and pricing strategies Lead weekly revenue and sales meetings Assist in developing annual business plans and budgets with General Manager and corporate team Track and report all sales activity, pipeline, and production results Perform other duties as assigned Leadership & Team Development Lead, train, and mentor the sales team Participate in hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed Support a high-performance, revenue-driven sales culture Perform other duties as assigned Operational Coordination Coordinate all group and event details with hotel departments Ensure compliance with credit policies and audit standards Conduct hotel tours and maintain knowledge of meeting space and guest room inventory Represent the hotel professionally at networking and industry events Perform other duties as assigned Administrative Duties Maintain accurate records of calls, bookings, proposals, and cancellations Submit daily/weekly sales reports Complete sales resumes and distribute weekly event forecasts Maintain sales kits, promotional materials, and account documentation Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field preferred Minimum 5 years hospitality experience At least 3 years in progressive hotel sales management Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills Solid understanding of revenue management and profitability Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout the property regularly Minimal lifting and carrying Occasional local travel for networking/events Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends as needed
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:
